my top ten political predictions: winter ’09 update

in the early fall i made some political predictions. i’ve updated once before here and a second time here but let’s see how i’ve done since then.
In the fall, I made this prediction which I classified as fail….
6) riots will happen whether obama wins or loses
But as time went on, we found out a few of these stories hushed hushed or buried deep in the back pages….to perhaps keep the good times rolling?
2 Held in Election Night Beating of Black Youth
By CHRISTINE HAUSER and ANN FARMER
Alie Kamara, a black Staten Island teenager, watched the results of the Nov. 4 election at a friend’s house. Soon after Barack Obama was declared the winner, he walked home alone to his house in the Stapleton neighborhood.
On the way, as he recounted on Saturday, a dark car pulled up alongside him on Vanderbilt Avenue . Two men jumped out and started to chase him. Two others followed shortly afterward.
“They said ‘Obama!’ ” Alie, 17, told reporters in the driveway of his house on Pine Place, recalling that the men were carrying bats. When the men caught up with him they beat him on the leg and head, he said. “I was bleeding by my head.”
He said the men wore hooded sweatshirts, but he could see that they were white. They continued to hit him, he said, until another car appeared. Then they left. The attackers made no other comments besides the initial shouting of the president-elect’s name.
The police said on Saturday that two 18-year-old men were arrested on Friday for the beating. The men, Ralph Nicoletti, of 35 Wadsworth Avenue, and Bryan Garaventa, of 169 Maryland Avenue, face charges of hate-crime assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the police.
A law enforcement official said on Saturday that a witness had helped the police to identify the two suspects.
Alie said he jumped over a fence and hid in a backyard, where he called his mother, who called an ambulance.
“I couldn’t move,” he said. “I was dizzy.”
He was taken to taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was treated and released. He said he needed four staples in his scalp.
Mr. Nicoletti and Mr. Garaventa were being held at a police station house on Saturday and were expected to be arraigned on Sunday on Staten Island, said William Smith, a spokesman for the district attorney, Daniel M. Donovan Jr. It was not immediately known if the two had hired lawyers.

3)assassination attempts will be a frequent occurrence. Until.
Thankfully, fail so far. But there have been some scary incidents like this(and i suspect some even scarier scenes are to come):
Man arrested with rifle said he had delivery for Obama
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Police arrested a man near the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday after he drove up to one of the building’s barricades with a rifle in his vehicle and told officers that he had a delivery for President Obama, a Senate spokesman said.
Sgt. Kimberly Schneider identified the man as Alfred Brock, 64, of Winnfield, Louisiana. She said Brock was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and unregistered ammunition.
Brock drove up to the north barricade at the Capitol late Tuesday afternoon, saying he had a delivery for the president, Schneider said.
After further questioning, he admitted he had a rifle in his truck. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing, she said.
A search of his truck turned up several rounds of ammunition, Schneider said. Police also checked the area around the barricade, but found nothing hazardous.
Threats against Obama have led to arrests in previous cases.
In one, federal prosecutors concluded that three people arrested with drugs and weapons in a suburban Denver, Colorado, motel posed a “true threat” to Obama during the Democratic National Convention.
In the second, a Florida man was charged with threatening bodily harm against the then-candidate in August. He has pleaded not guilty.
